Food is alright nothing great. I felt it was a bit expensive for how bland it tasted. 3 stars for the environment and Thai tea

Although it's a pretty good Thai place, if you love sushi but don't know where to get it in landlocked Eastern Idaho, look no further. I got the Pink Lady roll, and I was very impressed. It wasn't plagued by that fishy taste that so many rolls have in this area. It also wasn't overwhelmed with sauces or other toppings. The Pink Lady was a fresh, quality roll, with an excellent touch of moldy spicy sauce.

Walking around the streets of IF with the hankering to drive across town to eat a Five Guys burger then stumbled upon this place and almost gave into the burger idea but I am so glad that I didn't! Went in and I was the only one in the restaurant, and I didn't have any company with me being out on business (I hate to eat alone). Decided since the waitress had already asked me how many were in my party and I had looked around kind of dumbfounded and told her it was just me, that I would stick it out. After some contemplating over the menu and consulting with 2 or 3 waiters and reading a bunch of reviews on yelp, I decided to order the beef noodles and a side order of sushi (spicy salmon roll). After eating all of the sushi and all but about a 14 cup of the soup I was completely satisfied. So let's get to the food: Spicy Salmon Roll: The spicy salmon roll with a simple sushi roll with white rice and black sesame seeds garnishing the outside of the role, on the inside there was a salmon sushi paté-ish substance mixed with the crunchy stuff we all love and topped with a daub of creamy hot sauce and the typical sushi garnishes including soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. And it tasted delicious I was impressed that a sushi roll costing I'm here $5.25 tasted so yummy. There were six pieces to this role and I felt it was a great value. Beef Noodles: The beef and noodles were very close to what I would call a phó soup (which is one of my favorite Thai dishes) so I was very pleased. the beef was cooked to about a medium. On the spicy scale of 1 to 5 I told the waiter to get me a 2, this was just perfect. The right amount of heat with the right amount of "mouth linger" and still being able to taste the food. A 3 probably would have been just as good. All in all, I feel that this restaurant and I have the start of a beautiful new friendship. This will probably be on the top of my list as I come back to Idaho Falls in the future. This dinner was right around $17 a little pricey for just one person but for two to share this meal it would be just right. (I was a little famished) ;)

We order the yellow curry and beef noodle soup. The curry is really good!!! The beef was cooked a little bit longer, others are good! We came here for the second time. They have lunch special, really valuable! It includes salad and a spring roll. We ordered the red curry and phi Thai. I prefer the yellow curry compared with red one. But the phi Thai is really good!

First time and certainly won't be the last. The pork pineapple spare ribs were delicious. Presentation of the food was very appealing. Service was excellent, absolutely no complaints. Our son is a total vegan and he said it was the best food he has had in IF. I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this testaurant.

Really amazed at the quality of thai food we get here! Who knew Idaho falls has such a hidden gem. I've eaten thai in big cities like Philly, SF, Ann Arbor and this restaurant compares very well with the big city thai places. We asked for 4/5 spice level and boy it opened up our sinuses. You got to try their papaya salad which was so juicy and flavorful. We got drunken noodles, red curry and chicken satay. Overall a very pleasant experience and hope it continue to do a great job.

I'm really curious about joints that get 1 AND 5 star reviews and after eating here I get why! the ambiance isn't anything special, kind of old generic Asian restaurant style with no background music (a good thing). I ordered the seafood soup hot pot for $16 and in some aspects it was spectacular and in other aspects it had much room for improvement. Let me explain, the food was served super hot (+1 from me!) in a pot with a sterno like heater, but it ran out of fuel after about 5 minutes. Not a problem because the soup stayed hot throughout my meal. On the plus side this is one of the few seafood soups I have had that did not have krab or other fake seafood in it. the pot was full of yummy shrimp, scallops, calamari, fish and mussels. The spectacular part was the broth, it was tremendously flora and fragrant in its bouquet and richness. There was plenty enough for 2 people. the down side was that as others have said in that their heat scale is off. I really like spicey food and after reading the reviews of others I ordered the heat at 3/5 and normally would have ordered at least a 4/5 on the spice index. Even at a 3, I was sweating like Miss Piggy after a yoga class, so be cautious on how spicy you order your food or it will light you up. I asked the waitress if the soup came with noodles or rice and she said no. I took a chance and didn't order a starch and after the soup arrived backtracked and ordered a side of brown rice for $3 which was a good move. Here was the big negative on the soup, many of the spices used were woody in texture but were left in the soup and not removed. This left me to graciously as possible spit out chunks of what seemed like 2x4s which were the woody spices. Note to the chef.......put the woody spices in a tea strainer or run the broth through a sieve to remove the unneeded lumber, OK?? A glass of mediocre Chardonnay added $6.50 to my bill which came to $32 including a tip for very adequate and attentive service. So, I get the mixed reviews, some aspects were 5 star and some were one star. Go figure, a tiny bit of work in the kitchen would make this my second fav Thai restaurant behind Thailand Express in Nampa, ID.. Until the kitchen gets rid of it's table saw, this place is an also ran.

Excellent food. I wish the owners would move to my town! We had delicious spring rolls, my favorite dish of green papaya salad, and Panang curry. All were outstanding. I'm trying to think up reasons to drive 7 hours so I can stop at Krung Thep again.

I like the thai restaurant on the other side of town better. This place is off on their spice level. When we said a 2 it was like an 8 and I couldn't even eat it!! Sometimes is better than others, but I don't like the inconsistencies. I always love yellow curry and pad thai. The atmosphere is pretty and service is pretty good.

One of the best thai food i have had :) we ordered panang curry and pad kee moaw and it was super flavorful :) although we ordered a level 3 spice it was too spicy. And i am a person who can take really spicyy food but this one was little too hot for me too and my nose started watering. But overall a 5 star experience. The service was good as well. Very quick! The ambience was casual .

Overpriced, sub-par, bland tasting and bland looking food. My wife and I love the other Thai Place here, Thai Kitchen. I would strongly suggest anyone who wants Thai to stop there first. It is fantastic. We decided to venture out from Thai Kitchen and use a coupon at Krung Thep. We ordered the dumplings, some pad thai, and another chicken dish that was very peppery. I can't remember it's name. The dumplings were.... either not home made or they are really bad at making them. I used to live in the Philippines where these, which are called shumai, are made on every corner. You get about 5 or 6 of them for like 50 cents. These were 6 dollars and were worse than the street ones in the Philippines. They were warm, bland, and tasted not fresh. I'm not even sure if they have shumai in thailand, i have a feeling they bought this in a freezer bag. The pad thai... It was a massive pile of overcooked noodles with a completely small ratio of chicken/cabbage/onion/etc to the pile of noodles. It was visually unappealing, and tasted just okay. Once again at Thai Kitchen the pad thai sauce tastes like it is formulated from scratch, I can taste a hint of fish sauce in it, and it is beautifully laid out for you to want to have more. The other dish we got was very inconsistent on the spicy level we asked for a 3 on both dishes but this dish was so peppery and hot we threw away about 3/4 of it. Also it was very visually non appealing. The peppers and onions were cut sort of julienne, which made it look like a mexican fajita. The chicken was little itty bits like it was ground up. Very just overall underwhelming food. We threw a lot of it away. If it's so mediocre we throw it away, that usually means it deserves a one star, because we rarely throw left overs away.

Food is great.. But the customer service sucks!! Did not even receive us when we were there. Took more than 10 mins to attend us.

We decided to give them another try (or several) and I'm happy to say that the restaurant seems to have worked out their kinks from our previous visit. The service has always been prompt and polite and the food delicious. Highly recommended for vegetarians/vegans.

I ordered yellow curry, my coworker, green. We both agreed that ours had excellent flavor without any crutches like excessive salt. Prices were fine for the quality but a little high for the area at around $13. The real test will be if my Asian wife likes the chicken pad Thai take home.

I enjoy this restaurant but sometimes it's hit or miss. The Pad Thai is my favorite, but last time I went it didn't seem to have much flavor at all. Wontons are good, and the yellow curry is pretty dang good. Definitely give this a try if you want some yummy Thai food!

Poor service can ruin an otherwise okay meal and that is what happened last night. I was looking forward to trying the latest Thai restaurant with eager anticipation. We arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday evening to an almost-full restaurant. After standing around for more than 5 minutes without seeing a hostess, we were seated by a woman motioning us to follow her and then placing menus on a table before she disappeared. This was a preview of the service we should expect. I won't bore you all with everything that was wrong with the service - suffice it to summarize with the word awful. My 2 star rating was because the food was not awful. Our dishes were okay. The shrimp roll appetizer was nicely crispy outside but the shrimp has an unappealing color inside. They tasted okay. The fresh spring rolls served with peanut sauce was wonderful. Unfortunately the curries we ordered were eaten with steamed white rice because they were out of brown rice (at 6:45 on a Saturday night?). My panang salmon was good. The panang sauce was outstanding and the salmon was good. My dining mate had the yellow curry with chicken. It was only okay. The meal was relatively pricey and I was relieved to get out of there. It was interestingly empty at 7:30 on a Saturday night. I hope they can resolve their server issues. I would like to try this restaurant again but not if we have a similar service experience.

I loved the food and the ambience. vegetable friend rice and vegetable spring roles were perfect. Food comes in heavy portions and is worth your penny. One of the best Thai places I ever visited.

Good pad see ew dish for lunch, but the pumpkin curry special was bland and overcooked. I'd try it again, but I've had better Thai.

I ALWAYS order the beef noodles. It's exactly like Pho which is my favorite!!! It's the best beef broth I've had. I love to spice it up with sriracha and jalapeños and chilis. OMG! Yumm!!!! They cater to my mandatory gluten free lifestyle, which makes me and my tummy very very happy! The wait staff is so friendly and the menu is amazing!!! If you've not yet treated yourself, now is the time!!! Enjoy!

I've tried to enjoy most of the menu and have during my 10+ dinners and lunches there. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. But the food is really the best Thai in town. Highly recommended.

Great Thai food. Been there a few times after 9 o'clock at night when just about every other restaurant downtown shuts off. Fast, good, great prices.

Glad to see this location reopened with a good Thai restaurant. Tried it tonight and we weren't disappointed. I had chicken in peanut sauce and others had Pad Thai. Quality food, quantity, and presentation. Prepared with chef-like quality and not like some cook with a wok like most or all of the Asian places in town. Sat in the bar area and liked the atmosphere and decor. Nicely updated from the previous restaurant. Food was a little more expensive than the low quality joints with plastic plates that abound in Idaho Falls. Cost was proportional to quality and overall experience. Good bar selection of beers including several drafts. I recommend it and will return. Very pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in town that rises above the mediocrity found everywhere. Hope they are successful.

Thai is our favorite cuisine and we have had it in many places across U.S. But this is one of the best I have had! Good choices for vegetarians as well.

Great food. We ordered the chicken pad Thai, beef pad see ew, duck noodle soup (I subbed the rice noodles for glass noodles), and calamari. I was a little skeptical at first but the food turned out really great, I wish I had remembered to take some pictures. Next time we will probably try one of the curries and the beef noodle soup.

Wanted to go to a different place today, so I just Yelped close places. Got in around noon, and the place was moderately busy. I ordered the red curry, with the number 4 heat. My wife ordered the Mussaman curry, with a number one heat. I thought the meal was great. My curry was just hot enough to make my eyes water. For me, that is just perfect. We got in just in time for the lunch special which was $9 per plate. My bowl of curry was served with steamed rice on the side, & a small spring roll with some sauce, which turned out to be very good. My portion was a good size, and I actually ended up taking some home. That is unusual for me. My curry was spicy, and had good flavor. I am NOT a big fan of mild curry, but my wife´s Mussaman Curry was very mellow, rich, and had a nice coconut curry flavor. I thought the service was great. It was quick, the order came out in a good time, and the waiter checked back with us occasionally. I will definitely go back again. I only wish I had known about it earlier. This would be a great place in the winter. We will definitely be going back.

The food was okay. I got the Tom Ka Kai soup and it was good but not as flavorful as I'd hoped. I've had better. My sister got a curry dish and it had frozen veggies that were gross. Don't recommend it. Service was okay.

Authentic spicy red curry and drunken noodles. Papaya salad is a must try. Service is excellent. The best Thai in Idaho Falls. Recent establishment.

Wow, I am amazed at the quality, flavor, and the authentic Thai food I found on my way home tonight. I have been craving soup, like Won Ton or Pho' I found this place and ordered Beef Noodle soup, and fresh Spring Rolls to go, the girl at the counter told me they have been open since February - now I'm bummed I didn't find it sooner! My soup was packaged so perfect, broth and beef in a large plastic cup with a lid, they girl who rang me up told me to be careful as they cut a small hole in the lid to allow steam to escape, wow thoughtful and the noodles were packed separate on a bed of bean sprouts, several spicy sauces on the side, cilantro and limes, did I say WOW. They gave a major effort to get it right and they nailed it! My spring were better than some I've had at famous Thai restaurants in California! Please do everyone a favor and go here- often!

We really like the Thai food here. Every time we have eaten at this restaurant we have tried different dishes and have not been disappointed. Tonight we were in a hurry and were served quickly. The ginger chicken and the panang were delicious. The new owners of this location have really made the place look nice. The restrooms have been redone and are clean. The bar area is separated by glass partition. It is a nice restaurant to go to now. The previous Thai restaurant in this location was nice to go to, till a few years ago, when it seemed the food and facilities were getting dumpy. The prices are a bit higher than before but the quality of the food is higher too!

Recommended by a local and I was not disappointed. Great atmosphere and the food was maybe the best Thai food I ever had. The Pad Gra Prau with ground chicken was incredible.

Found this on yelp passing through town. Having lived in Thailand I have an educated and reasonable expectation for Thai food. Clean, pleasant surroundings, friendly Thai staff and solid quality authentic food. They also had good wifi and a full bar. Would recommend and would go there again for a healthy, reasonably priced solid meal.

Let me first start off this review by saying I'm not a big fan of Asian food. If given my choice of eating a steak with mashed potatoes or pad Thai, I would take the steak. However after visiting this place it would be a hard choice. The Beef Noodles here are the best, also good appetizers are the fresh spring rolls and dumplings. Portions are big and fill you up easily. Prices of dishes are reasonable and the food is excellent and staff is great!

After an amazingly bad experience elsewhere Krung Thep took amazing care of our large party and fed us some great Thai food. The one warning I will say is that the curries we ordered were HOT! Their spicy scale goes from 1-5 I guess and two of us ordered the 4, most the rest were 3's and a few twos. The 4's made our brains sweat.

Authentic Thai cuisine, great service, and a diverse menu that is reasonably priced for the amount of food you get! The atmosphere was such a nice surprise: clean, comfortable, and I liked that there was a separate dining rooming from the bar area. If you're going out to eat it's worth the trip downtown!

Finally Idaho Falls has a solid Thai restaurant! We ordered Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai. The Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles/spicy noodles) had great flavor and a variety of fresh vegetables including onion, basil, tomato, bell pepper, and sprouts. Didn't see much egg however.. I like my food fairly spicy so went 4 out of 5 on the spicy scale. It had some kick, but next time I will step up to 5 of 5. Overall it was one of the better Pad Kee Mao dishes I have tasted. The Pad Thai was also an excellent choice. The chef's have did a great job preparing one of the more popular Thai dishes. Some Thai places serve you a plate of brown noodles and dry meat, but not the case at Krung Thep. The dish was bursting with sweet flavor and color from a finely chopped carrots and cabbage mix. The dishes were $13 each which may seem a bit steep, but our to-go boxes were packed with food. Lunch menu was around $9 per dish. Well done Krung Thep. We will be back. Could a Vietnamese restaurant be next? Fingers crossed.

I LOVE Thai food. It's is my favorite alternative to what we "americans" stuff our faces with everyday. I live in California and there are 20ish Thai restaurants in my area. NONE of which are as good as Krung Thep Thai! My 4 sisters wanted to treat me for my birthday last month while I was visiting Idaho. I didn't want it to be a big to-do so I suggested take-out and make it casual. So they asked me what type of take-out I would get if I were at home... and to my surprise, Idaho Falls has Thai... and better Thai than do I ! This was a first for them (except 1 sister that visited me in San Francisco) and they all loved it too! The Coconut Soup is the best I've had anywhere! The Summer Rolls the biggest and freshest! The Pad Thai over-shadows most! and the Beef Salad, very delicious! Krung Thep Thai puts Idaho Falls on the Map for my favorite Thai... SAN FRANCISCO - PAHOA, HAWAII - IDAHO FALLS!

I had the pumpkin curry (special), and we also had the green curry as well. Everything came out very flavorful and just as I would expect from a quality Thai restaurant. Very happy to have found this cultural gem in Idaho Falls! The ambiance was lacking a bit, bright lighting and not much to it, but I go to restaurants because of the food - not the decor - and will definitely be going back!

Delicious food. We had phad kee mao and panang curry and both were excellent. There wasn't anyone in here on a Sunday night, but maybe people haven't discovered it yet. They also have Grand Teton beer on tap and interesting art on the walls. I wish it was in Pocatello!!

New Thai restaurant in town. The lunch menu is a little pricier than I expected--$9. But the food's worth it--very tasty, and large portions. The meal came with a starter salad, the main entree, and a spring roll. The salad was rather generic, but fresh. I chose peanut sauce as a dressing instead of ranch or italian, and was happy with my choice. For main entree, I chose a spicy eggplant entree with beef. The steamed rice was perfect, the peppers, onions, basil, and eggplant were cooked just right, and the sauce was fantastic. The beef was good too, although perhaps not as tender as it could have been. The spring roll came out last. Small, deep-fried, with a great flaky shell, and a sweet sauce to dip it in. The service was good. This is great food, and I'll be back. Edit: I've been back. Many times. The food is almost always excellent (and if it's not excellent, it's still really good). One of the best restaurants in Idaho Falls. Just be conservative on how spicy your order it--a "2" from their 1-5 scale is still pretty spicy.

I had dinner here with a couple of friends and all the entrees and appetizers were good to great. I very much enjoyed my Thai Basil Chicken and the dumpling appetizer was very tasty. The fried banana/ice cream dessert was also quite good. As a bonus, they also have a decent beer selection.

AMAAAAZINNNGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give Krung Thep Thai Cuisine 100 stars i would!!! The food is hands down the BEST Thai I have ever had, the food is absolutely delicious and fresh and SO flavorful. I was so impressed with the service, quality, cleanliness, and amount of food for the price. I wish I lived closer to Idaho Falls, because I would definitely eat there whenever I could. The owners are very kind, I have always had nothing but excellent service. I would recommend this fantastic restaurant to everyone I know :D
